Waterskiing Campout - August 7th 2010 - August 8th 2010

Mr. VanSkiver is leading our next Troop Campout - waterskiing!  It will be at Lake Anna, Christopher Run Campground in Mineral, VA (540) 894-4744.

We will be meeting at the Church at 7:00 AM on Saturday August 7th.  Return to the Church will be on Sunday at approximately 5 PM.  This should be a very fun campout!

You must have completed the 2010 swim test or be accompanied by a parent!

Stream Cleanup - August 28th 2010 - 9AM to 11AM

It far past time to uphold our commitment to the community.  Our commitment is a small stream near Rt. 1 and the Parkway.  There is a sign on display there that marks our commitment.

More details still need to be accessed.  Due to its location, there is no way to predict what we will be found.  One year a shopping cart was found there!  So obviously gloves, safe shoes, trash bags etc. need to be brought as well a pickup truck or two that would be willing to drive to the county landfill to properly disposed of.

The stream is called Easy Creek.  It is located across the Parkway from Fred M Lynn Middle School close to the intersection of Rt. 1.  It runs between a couple ball fields, Hylbrook Park, and the Woodbridge Senior Center on Church Hill Dr.  The best place to park is the ball field parking lot which is an immediate right after the right on Church Hill Dr.
